How to Do the Activity
- Invite children to paint a simple ocean background on blue paper.
- Cut fish shapes from colorful construction paper.
- Write one letter of the child's name on each fish, or invite older children to copy the letters.
- Add simple eyes and smiles with a black marker.
- Arrange the fish across the ocean background in name order.
- Glue the fish in place and let the artwork dry.
- Use the finished craft to read the name, count the letters, and talk about the colors of the fish.
