This paper plate jellyfish craft is a bright ocean-themed activity for preschoolers. Children paint a paper plate, add a friendly face, and attach yarn pieces as long jellyfish tentacles.

- Wiggly eyes
- Black marker
- Hole punch
- Glue

How to Do the Activity
- Cut a paper plate in half or use the bottom half as the jellyfish body.
- Invite children to paint the plate with ocean-inspired colors.
- Let the paint dry, then add wiggly eyes and a simple smile.
- Punch holes along the bottom edge of the plate.
- Help children thread or tie yarn pieces through the holes to make tentacles.
- Add a string at the top if you want to hang the jellyfish for display.

- What colors did you choose for your jellyfish?
- Are the tentacles short or long?
- How do you think a jellyfish moves in the water?
- What other animals live in the ocean?

Teacher Tip: Pre-punch the holes for younger children, then let them focus on painting and pulling yarn through the holes. Older preschoolers can practice tying simple knots with support.
